During the Strategic Planning phase, the designer gets to know the client, their needs, wants, family practices, pet conditions, etc. We discuss the project in detail including design style, scope of work, and budget. We also conduct a site visit to photograph existing interior items that may be transferred to the new space, which can include appliances and furnishings. After this initial information is gathered, we work on inspiration images to present the project design direction and overall feel for the spaces. Once this design direction is established, we then produce an overall project design proposal based on the information gathered and budget presented.

During the Design Development phase, we produce detailed design drawings which include floor plans, interior elevations, electrical plans and reflected ceiling plans. We also focus on ceiling treatments, specialty moldings, and construction documents for contractors to bid. Once construction drawings and room by room design boards for the main rooms are approved by the client, we continue to fine tune details throughout construction. We often schedule client showroom visits to review in person some of the materials presented and selected. Lastly, we finalize furniture plans and make furniture selections based on the scope of work.

During the Procurement phase, we produce documents that will be needed for contractor and subcontractor bidding. We fine tune floor plans, elevations, cabinet drawings, and lighting plans based on several client meetings and design feedback. We then create the fitting schedules which can include windows, doors, tiles, plumbing, light fixtures, etc. We gather material pricing and generate formal purchasing proposals for the client to begin placing orders. We now oversee most administrative paperwork pertaining to the project interior material purchases. Once orders are placed, we track them and organize delivery timelines and oversee the installation, until the project is complete.

During the Construction phase, we visit jobsite periodically to address any questions the contractors may have. We oversee the design develop in the construction per the plans provided and redesign or fine tune areas per jobsite conditions if necessary. During this time, we work closely with the contractor to make sure they have the most up to date construction set of plans in a timely manner. We work with electricians to spot check light locations, plumbers to set rough valve locations and carpenters to account for millwork detailing. In short, we will be the point person for your project to make sure we reduce any bumps down the road and proceed with a smooth transition of building your dream home.

During the installation phase, we schedule and coordinate delivery and installation of wallpaper, window treatments, furnishings, rugs, accessories, and artwork. We inspect goods and ensure they meet quality control standards and schedule any redeliveries for any materials that do not meet our expectations. We will likely spread out the installation process over a series of days to make sure items do not get damaged in the process. In addition, we will add any accessories, or furnishings wanted during this time.
